April is Hope Awareness Month – You Can Make a Difference!
“Hope” is a word that we have all held onto tightly over the past year. Many of us have suffered losses in so many ways. Here at Harpers Handmade Co., we don’t think we have the words yet to express our feelings. One thing is sure, though: we can’t let go of hope.
As our healthcare workers, seniors, teachers, and other neighbors receive their doses of the vaccine, the idea of hope is feeling closer than ever. Many of us are patiently waiting for our turn as we anticipate reuniting with loved ones. We’ve missed hugs, family gatherings, and so much more. We know that we aren’t quite to the finish line, but we’re getting closer.
April is Hope Awareness Month. It’s our time to look around and find ways to lift each other’s spirits. The team at Harpers Handmade Co. knows that everyone could use a dash of sunshine in their day. How can you help? Here are a few ways to get started:
Be Present
Whether you’re giving your time, a meal, or even a donation, your presence is valuable. Even on a tough day, a bright smile can lift a mood. If your friend, neighbor, or loved one is comfortable, drop by for a quick visit and connect with them. See how you can lift their spirits.
Nurture Relationships
Have you gotten a card from a friend? How about a text message from a relative to remind you that they are thinking about you? The joy of being known and loved is one of the many ways to experience hope. Who should you connect with today?
Use Social Media For Good
There’s so much to post about on social media. From the top news headlines to the tragedies of life, our feeds can suddenly become heavy with sadness. Use your social media as a tool of hope. Post inspirational quotes or uplifting photos. What is the type of content that would make you smile? Add more of this to your timeline.
We’re always thinking of ways to use our jewelry to brighten this world and hope your HHC Jewelry has brightened your world. Ready to place a custom order for you or someone you love and brighten their world?
