Happy Halloween! Every year there are new obsessions that take over the costume world. Whether from a tv show, movie, or nowadays latest TikTok trend. Last year we saw many people dressing up as memes, Covid19, and celebrities. I think with loosened restrictions on lockdowns we will be seeing people trying to make up for last year’s Halloween.
Here’s a list of our top predictions this year:
Kim Kardashian at the MetGala
The subject of many memes, this costume would be relatively easy for any last-minute ideas. Also, if you are looking for a costume with a built-in mask, this would be your best bet!
Squid Game
The Korean show that has taken social media by storm and garnered Netflix a record-breaking number of views might be the biggest costume trend this year.
Money Heist (La casa de Papel)
The Money Heist robbers and hostages costume has been popular for the last couple of years. The fifth part of this show was released recently and I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of this costume this year.
Bridgerton
I don’t think I can scroll through TikTok without seeing someone recreating a look from Bridgerton. This show has proved that everyone wants to dress up as “royalty”.
The Weeknd, After Hours
This year’s Superbowl Halftime artist, The Weeknd, provided the world with an interesting look. Grab a red jacket, some red makeup, bandages. This look, I am sure will be a top fit for men.
Cruella
Emma Stone’s Cruella de Vil has given life to a new story of the evil character. I’ve noticed a trend of celebrities such as Kehlani with her black and white hair wanting to dress up as the villain.
Harley Quinn, Suicide Squad
The latest installation of the Suicide Squad was released earlier this year. I think we’ll see many people recreating Harley Quinn’s red dress from this movie. Previously we have seen many wearing her two-toned black and red jumpsuit or the newer red, white, and blue shirt with shorts.
Wanda and Vision, WandaVision
I’m envisioning this as THE couple’s costume of the year. Marvel like almost every year, will always be prevalent as some of the most popular costumes.
Beth Harmon, Queen’s Gambit
All you would need is a 60s inspired black and white dress to master this costume. If you would like to nail the costume maybe even a wig to emulate Beth’s signature do.
